Four km DAR -LGU Currimao-funded road opens
A new four (4) kilometer road connecting Barangays Pias Norte, Anggapang Norte and Anggapang Sur in the municipality of Currimao, Ilocos Norte was recently completed and opened for public use.
The new road which cost more than Seventeen Million Pesos, is a component of the Agrarian Reform Infrastructure Support Project III of the Department of Agrarian Reform funded by the Government of Japan with a One Hundred Percent (1oo%) counterpart by the Local Government of Currimao, Ilocos Norte.
The ARISP III project is seen to benefit the residents of the Agrarian Reform Community which includes Bgys. Lang-ayan, Anggapang Norte, Anggapang Sur, Comcomloong and Cabuusan. A number of infrastructure projects like farm to market roads in Bgy Lang-ayan, water system in Anggapang Norte and Comcomloong have already been completed as components of the ARISP III project.
Governor Imee Marcos cut the ribbong opening the new road assisted by Currimao Mayor Gladys Go Cue, Vice Mayor ROsario Go, Municipal Councilors of Currimao and DAR officials of the province headed by Christianne Suguitan, Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer for Ilocos Norte.
The new road connects the interior barangays of Anggapang Norte and Anggapang Sur with exterior Bgy. Pias Norte. Moreover, the new road is beginning to be a favorite boulevard for leisure walkers, bikers, runners and joggers.
